It’s the Super Bowl of Chowder!
Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Chowder Cook-Off hosted by the Cocoa Beach Area Chamber of Commerce’s Convention and Visitors Bureau. Come out and support this annual fundraiser — taste-test chowder and “twists” from more than 20 area restaurants, sample additional delectable delights, enjoy live music with Hayfire, and bid on many incredible silent auction items. See your favorite restaurants compete for the coveted Judge’s Choice Award for best Chowder, and select your favorite Chowder by participating in the People’s Choice Award. Enjoy an evening of fun while helping support the community with this longstanding fundraiser!

Those planning to attend the 25th Annual Chowder Cook-Off can purchase tickets in advance and save $5.00 off the regular admission price ($15.00 per person in advance and $20.00 at the door). This event is hosted by the Convention & Visitors Bureau of the Cocoa Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 at Cruise Terminal #3 in Port Canaveral. The event is from 6pm until 9pm and is open to the public. Eight hundred or more people attended last year’s event and we are looking for a steady increase. This is a great opportunity to have a good time while supporting our local community.
Admission includes sample tastings of all entries, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, silent auction, drawings, live entertainment and lots of FUN!
This year’s festive event, chaired by Reini Marsh of Kennedy Space Center and Daniel Todd of Brevard Night Life, will feature the area’s best chefs and restaurants competing with one another to determine who has the “best chowder” on the Space Coast. “With a Twist”- means other food vendors may participate to win their own awards. Awards will be presented to participating restaurants and organizations. The “Judge’s Choice Award “will be awarded for the coveted title and $150 in cash and will have the honor of the official and exclusive “blue ribbon” chowder or “twist” of the Space Coast .
